Obituary of Maxine Marie URQUHART

September 27, 1930 – Aneroid, Saskatchewan August 21, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta Maxine Urquhart of Calgary, AB, passed away on August 21, 2018 at the age of 87 years. Maxine was born in Aneroid, SK on September 27, 1930 to Maxwell and Mary Cosgrove. As a child, she lived in several places, including Port Arthur, ON, today known as Thunder Bay. The family settled in Regina, SK. This is where she met and later married Edward Urquhart on June 11, 1960. Ed and Maxine moved to Calgary, AB and then to Saskatoon, SK where they raised their four children – Joanne, Rob, Brad and Jeff. Maxine was a stay at home mom to her family but enjoyed bowling, knitting and travel. Maxine spent many winters as a snowbird in Phoenix with family and friends, and she also travelled extensively enjoying a multitude of cruises to numerous ports around the world. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Joanne; her two sons and daughters-in-law, Rob and Karen, and Jeff and Andrea; and her grandchildren, Holeigh and Morgan, Josh, Mackenzie and Zack. She was a loving Grandma to her five grandchildren and was very proud of all their achievements. Maxine was predeceased by her infant brother Ralph in 1935; her mother Mary in 1950; her father Maxwell in 1984; her husband Edward in 1986; and her son Bradley in 2007.
