Obituary of PELLETIER – Orville

June 29, 1954– January 2, 2010 Orville Stewart Pelletier was called home by the creator on Saturday, January 2, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of thirty-seven years, Roberta; his only son, Clay (Lorraine); two daughters, Shauna and Lori (Layne); seven grandchildren, Jesse, Ethan, Nolan, Larissa, Savannah, Kaylie, and baby William; sister Holly; brothers, Gordon (Jane), Victor (Bev), Carl (Jeanette), Vern (Gerri), Baron, Lorne (Susan), Darryl and Rodney; uncles, Lawrence, Sid and Linus Pelletier and auntie Velma Redwood. In addition to numerous nieces and nephews, he also leaves the rest of the Pelletier families from Yorkton, Sask, and extended families, Jerry’s, Saddleback’s, Leather’s, Whitecalf’s, Daniel’s, Mckay’s, and Flamont’s. Orville was a member of the Sakimay First Nation and was born on June 29, 1954 at the Union Hospital in Yorkton. He attended the Allary School in Crescent Lake, Sask. and then St. Henry’s Catholic School in Melville, Sask. In 1972, Orville moved to Calgary, AB which was since his home. Orville is remembered for his remarkable sense of humour. He always lifted the spirits of those around him by his ability to crack a good joke. He had a gift of creating some of the best ones out there, including the famous lottery prank. Orville was a man totally dedicated to his family and was a great hockey grandpa; always there to cheer on his grandkids to victory. He was a man that always welcomed friends and family into his home, never turning away anyone in need. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his family and friends. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, January 6 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
