Obituary of BLACK – Sheldon Bradley

September 1, 1975 – January 1, 2010 Our brother Sheldon saw us through 2009, and left to be with his mother, brother and families on Friday, January 1st, 2010. To walk with Jesus and pave the way for our journey when we go to the heavenly lands where there is only happiness. So it is with heavy, lonely hearts that we must let our son/brother/uncle go. Sheldon lived life to the fullest and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Our angel on earth was born at the Calgary General Hospital on September 1, 1975. Sheldon was a genuine animal lover and we always had strays or other animals in our house at all times. Horses were Sheldon’s greatest passion. He broke many horses for many people and they would tell us of how talented he was, His skill and passion was seen at ranches of family and friends where he participated in branding and breaking horses. Sheldon sometimes worked at Rodeos helping in the background. His other passion was fishing with friends and cousins. Sheldon was a quiet gentle man, a smile always on his face. He played many a joke on all of us even when he and Dad were alone at home. Dad would get the brunt of his mischievous jokes. Our brother/son was so loving and caring that he would give the shirt off his back to anyone and feed all who came to visit. He showed his love by being an uncle-dad to his favorite nephew Shaq Richard Yellow Fly whose father passed on in 2002, teaching all he knew about horses and other facts of life. He leaves to mourn his Dad Billy Black, his sisters and brothers, Michele, Wanda, Douglas (Duke), Cheryl (Bob), Stacy (Carla), Melanie, Melveen Loftus, Chelsea (Charles) and Goddaughter Chandel Black, adopted mother Delphine Young (Olds), Jody and Miles, as well as all his brothers and sisters from the Old Woman family; paternal aunties and uncles, Rosemary (Robert) Bull Bear, Randy SpringChief, Charles (Melvina), Paulette (Glen), Martina, Howard, Chucky McHugh, Carol and Ray, Mike Rabbit Carrier family; maternal aunts and uncles, Floyd Old Woman at War, Christine R.Gun, Rose (Harry) RedGun, Daisy (Ferris) Smith, Joe (Deb), Gwen (Robert), Mandel (Blanche), Marlene (Rex), Arlene and Joelle, extended families, McHugh’s, Francis family, Michael Rabbit Carrier family, Amato’s, Wadsworths, Blacks McMasters, Old Womans, Joe Medicine Shield family, Donna Jean(Wilton) Raweater family, Julia Olds family.
