Condolences
Dear Leif
I came across Joanne’s name in the University of Alberta Faculty of Arts Alumni magazine – Spring 2010. What a shock to learn of Joanne’s passing. I met you in the late ’70s when I and my wife at the time visited you and Joanne in Calgary. I lost touch with her in the early ’80s. I am pleased to learn from the comments above that Joanne built a life of faith in Christ and went to her eternal rest in his hands. May you take comfort in this knowledge.
Sincerely
Marcus Busch, BA ’71
Dear Leif
We have never met, Joanne was my second cousin, her grandfather and mine were brothers. However, you have, I believe, met my parents, Joan (nee Vallance) and Jim Sharp. My mother corresponded with Jean for most of her life. I was looking for information on Thelma Vallance and came across your very sad announcement. My father sends you his condolences, as we all do, and I wanted you to know that although we have never met, you are very much in our thoughts at this time. Our love and best wishes to you and Joanne’s brothers. From Lindsay, Keith and Greg and Joan and Jim in England.
Dear Leif,
Praying for God’s comfort to surround you during this difficult time. We appreciate so much all that Joanne gave to our boys through music. We will miss her.

Dear Leif,
We were so sorry to hear about Joanne as we saw her picture in the paper. Our thoughts and our prayers go out to you as we will know you will
miss her deeply.
We always remember Joanne and her warm, vibrant spirit. She conveyed such a passion for Jesus and you both together were a wonderful witness for Him.
We will be keeping you in our prayers.
Lots of Love in Jesus,
Craig & Vera, Vanessa & James
Dear Leif,
May our Lord’s peace, comfort and strength be yours now and always.
Joanne was my friend, prayer warrior and beloved sister in Christ. She shared her faith openly, gave encouragement and advice freely and was generous in praise and thanks for even the smallest of gifts or help.
We had fun in making musical productions come alive (“A Christmas Carol”) and she amazed us with her creativity, poise, patience and ability to make anyone feel that their contribution was valued and needed.
She dearly loved you and her family and dear friends and it was a joy to see that love revealed in her life each day – in her conversations, her’s and your hospitality and in sharing moments and time in the simple pleasure of being together.
She was a vibrant, passionate, special lady of grace and I will miss her.
To Bill, Dan and Michael,
I offer my sympathies and condolences to you, also. May you know that Joanne touched many people with her God-given love and joy and has left a legacy of caring memories and friends.
Dear Leif: Our sincere sympathy to you at this time. We will always remember Joanne’s beautiful big smile and warm hugs every Sunday. Her kindness and friendship will be deeply missed.
May His infinite love and compassion give you peace to carry you through this time of sorrow.

To Leif, Bill and Danny,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I share your grief. Joanne was a special friend to me for nearly 30 years and I will miss her terribly. I loved her heart for others and her faith was a wonderful witness to me. Even though I didn’t call her enough, Joanne was always there for me if I needed her.
Lovingly remembered
Joanna Oruclar
