Dear Rebecca, Vanessa and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
You are incredibly beautiful, compassionate women – and I’m sorry I never got to meet your mother. Clearly she was a phenomenal woman and is leaving a beautiful legacy in the two of you.
Thinking of you during this time.
Love and support,
Heather H.
I realized when I saw the photo of Jill in the paper that I knew her at Deer Park United Church and had enjoyed chatting with her occasionally, even as recently as a few weeks-months ago.
What I knew of her she seemed like a neat person. May you as her family grieve in the way that you need to in order to honour her and yourselves.
Dear Vanessa,
From what you’ve shared with me of your mother’s journey, it is obvious that she was a very remarkable woman whom you loved very much. May a gentle softness of wonderful memories grow to fill in the emptiness that her leaving has created in the lives of you and your loved ones.
Celeste
Dear Rebecca and family,
We are so sorry for your loss – I did not know your mother well but I know from Dana that she was a wonderful person and will be very missed by her family and friends. You are in our thoughts.
Sincerely,
Dee and Link

Dave, I am very sorry for your loss. You were there for me when I was going through this with my dad and I thank you for that. If you need anything just call me and I’m there. Derek
Dear Rebecca and family,
I am sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. May you find peace in the days to come through the sharing of memories and times spent together. Mothers are woven into the fabric of our being and in that way, may you find comfort in knowing you are never really separate. My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family in this time of sorrow. Peace and Blessings, Suzanne
It is with great sadness we learned of Jill’s passing.
Our condolences to you David and your family.
We first met you all in Bonavista Downs in the early 1980’s. Our daughter babysat on occasion for you. Over the years we went our different ways but we have always had that (English) connection. It was a pleasure knowing Jill – every time we talked she was always positive, gentle and so kind.
Peace be with you all.
Jan & Steve

On behalf of the Alberta Health Services and the staff of the Mental Health Unit at Alberta Children’s Hospital (formerly ‘W’ Cluster) we offer our sincere condolences to Jill’s family and friends. Jill was a respected and admired nurse on the unit for many years. Please take some comfort in knowing that she made a positive impact on the lives of many of the children she came in contact with. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.
To Beck and all of Jill’s family:
I was saddened to hear of Jill’s last days and passing as I know you had all hoped for a full recovery some years ago. Your loving words in her obituary say it all… you will miss her strength of character, compassion, guidance, love and friendship now that she has gone (all too soon). I am thinking of and praying for you now in your sad days ahead.

Dear David, Rebecca, Vanessa and Ben.

Anna, Sergey and boys.
David, Rebecca, Vanessa and Ben, Jill embodied a high standard of nursing excellence and in a caring calm manner provided comfort, to many upset and distressed children, especially in the wee small hours of the night, in the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Our attempts as “Jill’s Joggers” were to bring her some comfort, by letting her know that she was not alone in this fight and so that she’d be aware that we valued her greatly. Today, I am hoping that it may bring you some comfort to you, to know she will not be forgotten as an incredible role model and wonderful person.
Sent with heartfelt hugs to all, my sincere condolences, Anne Scappaticci

It was a pleasure to know your dear Jill and I too admired her strength and courage. Being a member of the Boosem Buddies at Deer Park United Church, I knew of her gentle, kind spirit, and even though she was on a tough, tough journey, her smile lit up the room. I am forever greatful to have known Jill even for such a short time. Blessings always, Kathleen
