Obituary of SMART – Kathleen Margaret

August 17, 1926 – December 27, 2009 Kathleen beloved wife of Sydney of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Kathleen grew up in Langdon, AB where she met her husband Sydney at the age of six years old. She moved to Calgary, pursued her career in nursing and married Sydney in 1951. She raised her four children and later went back to work with her husband in the family RV business. Kathleen and Sydney retired in 1982 and she remained busy with her children and grandchildren, gardening, camping, baking and traveling. Kathleen and Sydney traveled extensively in Northern Canada. Kathleen is survived by Sydney, her husband of fifty eight years; her children, Wayne, Sandra (Tom) Colqhoun, Karen (James) Gilchrist, Shane (Sandra) Smart; her grandchildren, Christina (Jim) Desbiens, Adam Smart, Matthew, Sean, Daniel Colqhoun, Alexandra and Catherine Gilchrist and great grandchildren, Mason, Amelia and Lilly Desbiens.
