Condolences
I met Naida in 2001 at Calgary Native Women Shelter. I was a new Immigrant that time and had an opportunity to work with her. She was so nice and loving. She guided me in every field. I fell in love with her right away and it seemed that I knew her from ages. She was a like a mother for me. She was the beautiful women and I will never forget her love and kindness for me. I will miss you Naida. Rehana Rafiq
Naida was a cherished volunteer with the Canadian Liver Foundation – she helped us sell flowers for Spring for Daisies and we could always count on her to help with our casino. She was a lovely person and I truly enjoyed her visits to the office. I will miss her kind and caring spirit, and her laughter.
Naida’s family and friends are in our hearts and thoughts.
I was blessed to have known Naida. I worked with her at Awo Taan where I learned how kind, caring and loving, she was. She made such a positive impact in so many people’s lives. I will never forget your smile and your teachings. Naida, rest in peace my friend.
My sincere condelences to Monique, Alexander, Don, Elaine and your families.
Love,
Tati Flores

How lucky were two Australian girls meeting 5 Canadian girls in Europe in 1968, of which one was Naida and to catch up again in 1997 while we were in Calgary. We were very saddened to read of her death and our thoughts are with her family and her fellow travellers.
Naida was a close and dear friend for many years. We considered her an extended member of our family. We will miss her so much but are fortunate to have many cherished memories of time spent together.
What a wonderful life and legacy Naida leaves — she made the world a better place through her work in social services and must have impacted hundreds of lives. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.

Dear Monique, Elaine and Don,
Please accept our sympathy on Naida’s death. In her understated way, Naida made the world a better place to be. We were fortunate to be part of a group of friends at a special time in our early twenties and have kept in touch over the years. Naida, Mo and I had a great visit in the summer of 2008 in Calgary.

Although 40 years have passed I still have special memories of the great fun and experiences we shared with Naida travelling around Europe.
