Obituary of RABBIT – Flora

April 4, 1924 – December 7, 2009 Flora Rabbit (Ena) slipped into eternal sleep into the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, December 7, 2009 at the age of 85 years. Flora was born on April 4, 1924 in Morley, AB. A traditional medicine woman, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother. She leaves to mourn her sons, Irvine (Linda) and Harvey (Delphine); daughters, Debra (Norman), Mildred, and Tilda (Audley); stepchildren, Clara, Connie, and Leo; two sisters Joan Hunter and Rita Saulteaux; adopted children, Dennis Buffalo of Hobbema, Myron Baptiste, Dallas Rollinmud, Charlie Abraham, Keon House, and Lyle Trottier of Onion Lake, SK; special grandsons John Snow Jr. and Cassidy Rabbit; 60 grandchildren, 149 great-grandchildren; and 20 great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Nelson in 1982, sons, Wilbert 1977, Robert 1978, Casey 1991, Danny 1998, Charlie 1992 and special son Chief John Snow Sr. 2006; granddaughter Fleurette 1991 and a sister Cinderella Simeon 2001. We apologize if we have missed anyone. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Flora Rabbit (Morley, AB) on Thursday, December 10, 2009 and Friday, December 11, 2009. Funeral Services will be held at Morley United Church (Morley, AB) on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Bigstoney Cemetery (Morley, AB).
