Her open arms and strong spiritual commitment to reach out to those in need and touch their lives is an inspiration to all who will remember her. Her strength and selflessness, till her last days is an example to live by. Even though she struggled day after day, bitten by cancer, she would say “Baraber Aye” I am doing ok ! Being the eldest in her family she took on the family leadership when her father passed away , supporting her mother and siblings. She continued her journey, marrying Sadrudin, and embracing his family as her own. With four children, she later immigrated to Canada to start a new life and create opportunities for her children and extended families who followed. Her home was base camp to many immigrant families, who were fortunate to have been touched by her generosity and unconditional hospitality. She gave so much of herself, it gives her survivors an extraordinary example to live by. We pray for her soul to rest in eternal peace. Funeral Services will be held at the Ismaili Jamat Khana & Centre (4623 – 11th Street N.E.) on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace.
