Before Del began her battle with Alzheimer’s she was an active member of the CWL at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church; enjoyed playing bridge; loved watching the Toronto Blue Jay’s with her husband Ed; and was an excellent cook. In addition to her children that loved her dearly, Del also leaves behind five grandchildren: Mike (Jennifer), Matt (Ivana), Jeremy, Lisa(Chad), and Kristine (Trevor). Del is also survived by sisters Kathleen (Kathy) Maier of Regina, Saskatchewan and Lorraine Lawr of Washington. Del also brought a great deal of joy to the hearts of her six great grandchildren. Del’s family would like to give a heartfelt and sincere thank you to the staff of the Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane. The nurses, aides, and staff of Brushy Ridge made the remaining days for Del, and her family, the most dignified possible.
