Obituary of WOGAN – Elsie May

May 9, 1917 – November 29, 2009 May Wogan, beloved wife of Jack Wogan, of Calgary, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at the age of 92 years. May was born in Colwyn Bay, North Wales and raised in Oldham, England. In England she became a talented Confectioner for a number of years. May served as a nursing assistant during WWII and during which she met her husband Jack an RAF Officer and they were married in 1944. In 1957 their new family immigrated to Canada settling in Calgary. May took much pride in raising and looking after her family and will always be remembered for her sense of humour. Besides her loving husband of 65 years Jack, May is survived by her son John Christopher Wogan and her brother Robert William Armstrong.
