Obituary of STREULEA – Dumitru

February 24, 1946 – November 25, 2009 Dumitru Streulea beloved husband of Maria, passed away unexpectedly at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre with his immediate family by his side on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the age of 63 years. He fought hard, however lost the battle due to a rapid progressing disease. We are heartbroken over the loss of our husband, dad, brother, and friend. Dumitru was born in Romania and came to Canada thirty years ago to provide a better life for his family. One of Dumitru’s passions was to work with copper, and he specialized in making copper ornamental works and roofs. Dumitru got a lot of joy out of helping others, whether they be friends or family. He was a man of steel and will be missed dearly. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Church (3511 3rd Avenue S.W.) on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
