Obituary of KOWALSKI – William Siegfried

August 23, 1934 – November 24, 2009 William (Bill) Kowalski beloved husband of Lee of Calgary, went to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the age of 75 years. Bill was an accountant for Shell Oil and for Alberta Energy. When he was younger, he loved playing hockey and baseball, more recently enjoying skiing, and in the last fifteen years, cycling on the many Calgary and Kananaskis paths. Bill was proud of the cabin he spent several summers building in Sylvan Lake. Over the years, he was a volunteer treasurer for various organizations, and was especially fond of his years after retirement spent at Wycliffe Bible Translators. Bill was a loyal and generous man who cared deeply for his family and friends. Besides his loving wife Lee, Bill is survived by his son David; daughter Angela; mother Erna Kowalski; brother Ted (Marg) Kowalski; sisters, Gaye (Ray) Neubauer, and Christa (Hugo) Sonnenberg; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. William was predeceased by his father Wilhelm in 1971.
