Obituary of BEARSPAW – Eric Sykes

August 24, 1978 – November 22, 2009 Eric Sykes Bearspaw was called home by our Creator on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the age of 31 years. Eric was a kind, caring, loving, generous, friendly person with a great sense of humour. We will remember Eric for his contagious smile that could light up a room. Eric had a love of adventure and hanging out with all of his friends. He loved and appreciated music, art, and writing. He had a love of learning and could be always found with a book. He truly loved his daughters and all of his nieces and nephews, as well as all of his family and friends. Eric is survived by his father Oral Wildman; two daughters, Emma and Irissa; brother Gino; sister Gwen; one half brother Jerome Wesley; and half sister Raven Wildman. Eric is also survived by his uncles, Sykes Powderface (Wanita), Harry Wildman (Karen), Gerald Wildman, and Cody Wildman (Anita); aunties, Christine Dixon, Ramona Wildman, Glenna Mark (Gerald), Elaine Wildman, Milldred Begay, Klaska Wildman, and Tammy Wildman; favourite nephews, Elgin (Kayla), Billy, Dylan, Travis, Rico, Chance, Riley, Jett, Adee, Jade, and Keegan; nieces, Khalisha, Travisha, Sky, Christia, Daisy, and Reese; adopted mothers, Brenda Bearspaw and Ramona Wesley; grand niece Addison; and grand nephew Memphis. Eric also leaves behind to mourn numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family members from Hobbema, Morley, Eden Valley and Big Horn. Eric was predeceased by his mother, Susanna Bearspaw (1988), sister Adeline Bearspaw (2007), one niece (2004) and one nephew (2001). Eric was raised by his late aunt Esther Wesley (1998) and grandfather Harrison Powderface (1998), and close sister Verna Wesley (1998). The family apologizes to anyone they may have missed. Wake Services will be held at the residence of the late Eric Bearspaw (Morley, AB) on Thursday, November 26, 2009 and Friday, November 27, 2009. Funeral Services will be held at Morley Gymnasium (Morley, AB) on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Morley, AB).
