Obituary of CHAPMAN – Cayley Maureen

January 6 1991 – November 21, 2009 On her arm, Cayley showed her heart. She had a single tattoo with the name “Yahweh,” which most would recognize as “Jehovah,” the name of God. She chose to wear it in a place where she could see it everyday and took pride when people asked her what it meant. She literally wore her heart on her sleeve. Because of her faith, we are sure of what we hope for and have proof of what we cannot see. While the things Cayley did brought us unbelievable joy, it was who she was that now brings us unbelievable strength. Among those whom God trusted to hold onto Cayley for 18 years are her mother and father, Brenda and Jonathan Chapman, her brother Jon Chapman, her sisters Sarah Chapman and Jennifer Allen (nee Chapman), and sister-in-law Nicolette Chapman, brother-in-law Tolan Allen and soon to be brother-in-law Ian Wilson. God also lent Cayley to grandfather, George Chapman and grandparents Barb and Fred Runions. Already waiting for Cayley in heaven are her uncle Brad, her auntie Jennifer, grandma Eileen Chapman with a cup of tea and friend Roman Deans with a bowl of soup. We invite you to come with us as we honour our Cayley. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 28th at 1:00 p.m., at Bow Valley Christian Church at 5300 53rd Avenue N.W., Calgary While flowers may perish, a lasting gift in Cayley’s memory may be made to Pine Lake Christian Camp (www.pinelakechristiancamp.com), the John Petropoulos Memorial Fund (www.jpmf.ca) or the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Drive (ab.salvationarmy.ca). “If you’ve seen the love that’s in her eyes, then everything is good. And if you know the way she felt inside, she’s flying where she should.” – Chantal Kreviazuk In living memory of Cayley Chapman a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES Park Memorial Chapel, 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W.
