Condolences
Dear Sandy and family,
We were saddened to hear of your dad’s death. He took a shine to my wife Dorothy and I during our time with McInnis and Holloway and has always kept in touch either by mail or by an annual phone call. The last call, we discussed my knee replacement and he his eyesight problems…always the gentleman and always a friend…thankyou for sharing him with us…he will never be forgotten and his memory treasured.
I first met Gordon when I began apprenticing as a Funeral Director back in 1965. Gordon was a very warm and caring person and very professional in every way. I have always had the utmost respect for Gordon. He really was “A Born Funeral Director”.
Dear Sandy & Family,
I am sorry to learn of your father’s passing. I have good memories of Gordon and his caring devotion to funeral service. Presently I am on vacation away from Red Deer or I would certainly attend the Service at the Aspen Ridge Retirement Home. My deepest condolences. Marge
My memories of Gordon go back to when he was a student at Bedford Road Collegiate in Saskatoon, and his family lived on 28 Street there. Gordon was a frequent visitor to our home, till we moved to Calgary. It was so good to meet a former Saskatoonian when he moved to work in Calgary. It was through his work that we met up with him again; he was always a most thoughtful and generous man to everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. Sincere Condolences to all the members of his family. Jean ‘MacKenzie’ Duke

Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Gord.
I am so glad to have known him for the past 14 years or so. He was always so kind and never had a bad word to say about anybody.
Blessings, Les Vecsey
Sandy, my sincere condolences to you and your family. Your dad was a kind, gentle man. I knew both your parents well in my younger days, from their friendship with my parents, Frank & Sylvia Ashkin. Mom & dad are both also gone now, but I remember Gordon’s kind words when he sent sent my dad a card when mom passed away in 2005. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
