Obituary of JOHNSON – Cathy

February 3, 1944 – November 18, 2009 Cathy Johnson, beloved wife of Bill Johnson of DeWinton, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the age of 65 years, after a long and brave battle with cancer. Cathy was born in Utrecht, Netherlands and at the age of four moved to London, ON with her family where she grew up. On November 6, 1965, Cathy married Bill and then they moved to Lethbridge, AB where they lived for over twenty years and raised their family. In 2000 Cathy and Bill moved to DeWinton, AB. Cathy enjoyed spending time at her cabin in Whitefish, Montana and was an avid gardener and fashionista. She also enjoyed travelling and she and Bill were fortunate to have visited several countries over the years. Besides her husband Bill, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carol and Ian Kirby; son and daughter-in-law Tom and Sangita Johnson; four grandsons, Joe, Patrick, Matthew, and Aidan; and her granddaughter Anjali. She is also survived by her brothers, Peter and Ted; sister Joanne; and beloved dog Tonka; along with many extended family and friends.
