Obituary of HEGSETH – Ingeborg

March 6, 1921 – November 16, 2009 Ingeborg Hegseth, beloved wife of the late Torstein (Ted) Hegseth, passed away peacefully at the Carewest George Boyack on Monday, November 16, 2009 at the age of 88 years. She is the beloved mother of Mali, Ola (Linda) and Selma (Wayne); grandmother of Corey (Brandy), Kevin (Sheri), Wesley (Kristel), Sarah (Brad) and Caitlin (Ryan); and great grandmother of Abby, Maren, Aven, Layla, Mason, and Kylin. Ingeborg was born in Selbu, Norway. She married Torstein in 1943 and in 1952, they immigrated to Canada. They resided in Kelvington, SK for three years then relocated to Watson, SK, where they lived for thirty years. After Torstein’s retirement, they moved to Summerland, BC but after five years, they returned to Watson, SK, to be closer to family and friends. After Torstein’s death in 1997, Ingeborg relocated to Calgary where she has resided for the last eleven years. Besides her immediate family, Ingeborg is also survived by nieces and nephews in Norway. She was predeceased by her husband Torstein, and her parents and siblings in Norway. Ingeborg’s passion was her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. Her love of life, her sense of humour and her enjoyment of friends was seen by all who knew her. A Celebration of Ingeborg’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
