Obituary of HENUSET – Jackson Henry

February 8, 2007 – November 15, 2009 Born on a beautiful snowy night in Calgary, Alberta on February 8, 2007, a ‘magic’ moment for all his family, especially his Mom and Dad. It was very ‘special’ when his Auntie Andrea announced to all four of his waiting Grandparents: “He’s Here”. Little did we know the joy he would impose upon each of us and a broad circle of loving family and friends in such a short life. Jackson passed away in a tragic, drowning accident on a beautiful sunny day at the Henuset Home in Marco Island, Florida on November 15, 2009, the ‘bleakest’ moments his loved ones have ever endured. Age 2 years; 9 months; 7 days – just more than one thousand days old. Gone to his Creator now but in our hearts and souls forever. Togetherness in eternity our promise. Jackson will never be forgotten. Jackson touched the lives of every person who met him. He loved everyone in his unique way and captured everyone’s hearts. He left you wondering what he could become. He learned quickly and carried on with such independence. His unique appreciation for all things related to fish, whales and dinosaurs will be remembered forever. His loud “roar” to imitate the main animal characters in the Lion King will be cherished. His expressive eyes and “me too” insistence will be missed eternally. He didn’t like going to bed because he was afraid he would miss something. His recent pirate imitations particularly his expressive “Ahhrr …You’re in Trouble Now Cabin Boy” made all of us laugh hysterically. Jackson’s vocabulary was growing daily. He recently referred to pictures of Volcanoes as “Kanoes”. It was OK. We understood him. His knowledge of what the pictures actually were came from his interest in the The Planet Earth videos. We were surprised in one sense that he knew this, but not in another. He was ‘smart’. His love for his Mom and Dad and their love for him knew no limits; and more recently, his love for his younger brother Charlie. Together the ‘perfect’ family, he would say: “My love you Dad or My love you Mom. This will live in their hearts forever. The nagging question of why what happened, happened goes unanswered and adds to deep emotional pain. To overcome its enormous grief, the family appreciates all the support of Jackson’s family and friends. It is needed more than ever before. Jackson is survived by his loving Mom and Dad, Suzanne and Scott Henuset and his little brother Charlie. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Liz and Wayne Henuset of Calgary; his Uncle Reid Henuset and his wife Karen and their boys Andrew and Austin from Calgary; and Uncle Michael Henuset from Calgary. He is also survived by Liz’ mother, Jean Brennand from Burnaby and the Henuset family pet dog, Zack (he called him Ass). He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Kathy and Allan Stevens and Auntie Andrea Stevens of Calgary; and the Stevens’ family pet dog “Harley”. Jackson loved Harley. He is also survived by many close relatives. The family friends are so important and Jackson loved you all. Jackson always thought he could….and he did.
