Obituary of BUSS – Lillian Jane

September 21, 1906 – November 13, 2009 Lillian Buss (nee Montgomery), went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 13, 2009 at the age of 103. Lillian will be sadly and lovingly missed by her daughter, Ruth Wickham (David) of Calgary, her grandson, Dr. Michael R. Wickham (Sylvia), her great grandsons, Tyler and Cameron all of Canmore, AB and a number of nieces and nephews in Ontario. Lillian wished a special mention to be made to her niece Phyllis Janos (Wil) of Balston Spa, New York, who was like a second daughter to her. Lillian was born in Keene, Ontario. She spent most of her childhood in Hastings, Ontario and during her working years, she lived in Toronto and Peterborough. She was employed by Peterborough Lumber as receptionist for many years, from which she retired. Calgary became her home in 1984 to be near her daughter. She was predeceased by her two husbands, Claude Gordon Ball and John Percival Buss, both of Toronto, Ontario, her mother and father Mary and Wesley Montgomery, a sister Vera, two brothers, Bert and Jim Montgomery, all of Hastings, Ontario and a very dear friend, Mary Walker of Calgary who passed away on October 23, 2009 at McKenzie Towne Care Centre. Good-bye Mother, We will miss your great personality and sweet smile. A Celebration of Lillian’s Life will be held at First Alliance Church, (12345 – 40 Street S.E.) on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. A private committal service will be held at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Lillian’s family wishes to thank Dr. Bruce Jesperson who provided her with such compassionate, care over many years of her life. Also, many thanks to the Rockyview Hospital staff (various Units), Home Care, We Care, and McKenzie Towne Care Centre for Lillian’s care and well being during her last 8 years, and a heartfelt thanks to Candice Schick for her excellent nursing and caregiving on so many occasions.
