November 7, 1916 – November 11, 2009 Bert Spring beloved husband of Katherine Spring of Calgary, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2009 at the age of 93 years. Bert was born in Salvador, Saskatchewan on November 7, 1916. He came to Calgary with his family in 1940, where he worked in the Sheet Metal trade until his retirement in 1982. Bert is survived by his loving wife, Katherine of 65 years; daughter Doreen Lawrence; son Randy Spring; granddaughter Kimberley Lawrence; brothers, Walter and Philip; sister Carol Bonchal; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Margaret Spring; an infant daughter, Darlene in 1950; son, Donald in May 2009; as well as several brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church (711 – 37th Street N.W.) on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church (711 – 37th Street N.W.) on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Edenbrook Memorial Gardens.
