Obituary of GILROY – Gordon Charles

February 11, 1933 – November 7, 2009 Gordon Gilroy, devoted husband of Elfie Gilroy of Calgary, passed away on November 7, 2009 at the age of 76 years. Gordon was born in Edmonton, on February 11, 1933. He worked for the Royal Bank for 37 years and retired in 1989. He spent his remaining years doing what he loved most, spending time with family, golfing and travel. Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Elfie; daughter, Coralee (Michael) McDermott and their children Brendan and Christopher of San Francisco; son, Brian (Annette) Gilroy and their daughter Kelli of Calgary. He is also survived by his sisters and extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Ruth Gilroy. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 CROWFOOT CIRCLE N.W. Telephone: (403) 241-0044), on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. A private family graveside service to follow at Edenbrook Memorial Gardens.
