Condolences
Russ, today I will hold up a glass of cheer to you, a loved and very missed friend, father, husband, co-worker, etc. I know you will have a glass of cheer, maybe a song or two and possibly a dance. You are always in our thoughts and prayers as well as your loved ones: Claire, Courtney and Taylor. Enjoy this day

I did some soul searching but could not find adequate words to express how sorry I am of Russ’s passing. He was full of life. I can see him so vividly, swimming in the river and enjoying a beer in Moms backyard. He leaves behind a wonderful, caring familly and that’s a great legacy to have.
He will be missed!

Dear Aunt Claire, Courtney, Taylor and all of my Wilson family,
I once read “…death takes the person, but not the relationship…”. He will always be a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a friend, a confidant and never anything less just because he is no longer with us. He was always a man who smiled and made me laugh. He cared and loved. He laughed and joked. He was wonderful and I will miss him. I am thinking of all of you at this time, having just gone through something so similar myself. Know that tears are okay but better on the shoulder of someone you love. Know that smiles are great and better with someone else who remembers and can smile with you. Know that laughter is allowed, because he would laugh with you were he here. Know that you are all loved and thought of.
Wishing I could be there, please take care of yourselves and each other. Hold fast to your memories and to the love we all send.
with deepest sympathy and much love,
Carolyn

Dear Claire, Courtney, Taylor & Wilson family: Russ is an irreplaceable soul in your life. He has left behind a thousand moments that will live in my heart forever. He will be forever a part of your lives. I will always remember Russ as a very carefree, good natured guy. I feel priviliged to have known him & he was so very much a part of the Goyette family. He has inspired us all to live life to the fullest. He taught is the true meaning of courage. In time, you will embrace his freedom from the pain and freedom from the weight of his illness. Sorrow is inevitable, but you will face it with the same courage as Russ did. I am so deeply saddened by his passing & although the miles separate us, I am there with you in spirit. May he be at peace with God, whatever he conceived God to be.
Pat
