It is with great regret that we hear of our dear Helen’s passing. Shawn and his family; Aaron and his, Carolann and I (Bernie) are unable to join you all today.

Helen had so many endearing qualities and was such a positive role-model and inspiration to her family and friends.

We have always known her as a strong and calm lady. We know it is great loss of these fine qualities. She will be sadly missed.

To the McCurdy family:

I was shocked and saddened to read in the newspaper of the passing of Helen very recently. I have no doubt that she will be very missed, yet fondly remembered by your family and many, many others. I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to Mr. McCurdy (Gary), for the loss of your wife and to James and Nancy for the loss of your mother. I would also like to extend my thankfulness to the entire McCurdy family for opening their home to me during my teenage years where I had the opportunity and privilege to get to know Mrs. McCurdy as a result of my friendship with her son, James. My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.
