Condolences
I tried to mail my condolences to Roma, with whom I taught at Parkview throughout the ’70s but the last card to Trinity Lodge was returned marked “No such” so I assume she, too, is gone.
Anyway, deep condolences to the families of Nancy and Doug. Roma spoke of you often.
We remember many visits with Lorne and Roma at their home in Edmonton. Their hospitality and evenings of conversation are treasured. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family.
Sincerely, Donna and John Swiniarski
I worked with Lorne at the City of Edmonton from 1979 to 1988, and appreciated his support and technical knowledge in developing the City’s maintenance and rehab programs. His advice was always sound and professional. We also worked together to maintain the testing lab for the City
WITH SYMPATHY

I spent several months a few years ago interviewing members of the First Special Service Force for an article I was writing. While I didn’t meet Lorne, I got to know many of his fellow veterans of that military outfit in Canada and the U. S., and came to admire many of them. I want to send my condolences and ask if someone in the family can (in due time) give me more information on Lorne’s Military career, for my continued research on this unique military formation. – Jim
