Obituary of GILES – Thora Dorothy

April 12, 1923 – November 4, 2009 Thora Dorothy Giles passed away on November 4, 2009 after a lengthy battle with lung disease. Thora was born on April 12, 1923 in the Shepard district. It was at the tender age of sixteen that she lost her mother and was left to help raise her six siblings. In 1969 she moved to Cochrane, and was a rancher and homemaker. Thora is survived by her four brothers and two sisters, Terry, Jean Guthrie, John (Bev), Barney, Merv (Claudia), and Joan (Woody) Delorme; and her seventeen nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her two sisters-in-Law Pat and Marge Giles; and brother-in-law Gordon Guthrie.
