Obituary of SKINNER – Antony

November 08, 1934 – November 03, 2009 Surrounded by his immediate family, Tony passed away, Nov. 3rd 2009, with courage and dignity after a valiant struggle with complications following lung cancer surgery. Beloved by his family; wife Lillias, son Geoff (Niki), & daughters Janet (Earle), Cath (Craig), grandchildren Dylan & Drew, and close relatives in England, Denmark & Portugal, Tony will be sorely missed for his integrity & caring, intelligence & (sometimes wicked!) sense of humour. Tony was born in Montreal, PQ and graduated from McGill University, Engineering. A scholarship took him to work in many countries in Europe including England, where he met Lillias. His ‘real’ career started in 1961 when he joined Montreal Engineering Co. leading to a successful, varied career, which took him all over the world. The Skinner family would like to express their appreciation for the exceptional care Tony received from the doctors and nurses in Intensive Care and on Unit 61 at Foothills Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
