Obituary of McCLEAN – Helen

July 30, 1921 – November 2, 2009 Helen McClean of Calgary, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Helen was born on July 30, 1921 in Calgary, AB. She was a dedicated mother and an avid sewer. Helen was widowed at a young age and successfully raised and supported her young family. She loved coffee, Kellogg’s Bran Flakes and Billy Bee Honey, and would accept no substitutes! Helen is survived by her children, Roma (Greg) Hickey, Anna-Marie (Richard) Young, Lani Hamilton, Penny (Bruce) Horne, and Ken (Marg) McClean; eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by many brothers and sisters and other extended family. Helen was predeceased by her husband Ken and a brother and sisters. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
