A Tribute to Bruce Tholenaer

So young to go, and yet Bruce knows

the peace that none of us know.

I’ve never known anyone with such a

peaceful spirit.

Some Celtic music has a depth of peacefulness unlike none other.

The music of the Celts expresses both Joy and Peace and always with a good ol’ Celtic story,

No wonder this music was his favorite. He lived it!

Here is a chorus from “Hope Has a Place”, a song by Enya.I hope the words bring you peace.

” Look to love and you may dream,

And if it should leave, well then give it wings,

But if such a love is meant to be,

Hope is home and the heart is free.”

It just seems to me, Bruce is now home and his spirit is free.

Dear Delee, Amy, April,

My heart felt condolences to You, Donnie, and Jon .. Bruce was a Husband, a proud Father, and a really proud Grandfather. He was and is a true friend to a lot of people. You had him as a Husband and Father a guiding light, and One tough Guy. I can not imagine what you must be feeling right now. The memories are many, warm and comforting. I really do feel we were all lucky to have him here for his short 51 years, but he made a huge impact on the people whose lives he touched. He is missed and will be missed by everyone that ever had the joy of knowing him. He was a true friend. I am sure he will be visiting the garage on a regular basis , just to see what is going on. And to hide the tools!!! LOL

I was the head nurse on medicine at Rockyview Hospital when Bruce was a young boy with acute leukemia. He made a miraculous recovery after a long fight. All of the staff were very fond of Bruce. The years passed of course and I often thought about Bruce and wondered, how did his life evolve? Reading his obituary was like finding a lost life for me. I can see he enjoyed a good like with his family and friends. My sincere sympathy to all of your family in the loss of Bruce.
