Obituary of MONSON – Vivian Veta

April 2, 1925 – October 28, 2009 Vivian of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the age of 84 years. Vivian’s life was her family. She loved cooking and baking for her family and friends, Friday night meals were looked forward to. Vivian worked for many years at the Hudson’s Bay Company and retired after 25 years of service. She always greeted everyone with a cheerful smile. She loved playing bridge and attended her fitness classes until the age of 75. Vivian was a life member of Hadassah Wizo. She was a member of the Beth Tzedec Synagogue and the Jewish War Veterans of Calgary. She will be deeply missed by her entire family. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Angela MacArthur for her many years of compassionate care. We would also like to thank the staff of Beverly Care Centre, Lake Midnapore. Vivian is survived by two sons and a daughter, Harvey (Marilyn) Monson, Barbara (Alan) Davis and Stuart (Janet) Monson; five grandchildren, Sean (Christine), Natalie, Sara, Alex and Mackenzie and great grandson Joshua Ty. She is also survived by her sister Thelma Travis of Winnipeg and sister-in-law Celia Levitan of Ottawa and a very large extended family. Vivian was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Morton, sister and brother-in-law Evelyn and Max Berinstein of Winnipeg.
