A ray of sunshine, your Mom was to me, is now a bright star in the night sky. The quilt she made for me years ago, still goes on my bed every spring until fall time. The dish clothes she knit and gave me are just starting to fall apart but are still used in my kitchen. Every Christmas, I still make the gingerbread cookies from the recipe she gave and I call them Adam’s Gingerbread by Baba Karen. To Adam and Erin, your Mom was Baba Karen. We were kindred spirits and few would understand the bond we had. When our family moved away from Calgary, we slowly lost contact and we each moved on but I still thought of your Mom and she will always have a very special place in my heart. Christie, Kelly ,Cameron, l just found out of your Mom’s passing. I am so sorry , even though l had not seen Karen for awhile, she was always so interesting and nice to everyone ! I am very sorry for your loss. And, so glad that she was able to spend the last few months at a Hospice as they would have been very good to her. She will leave a void in your life, Christie. Our greatest sympathies to all of you in the passing of your Mom and Sister.
