Obituary of OWEN – Iris May

January 4, 1916 – October 21, 2009 Iris Owen passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the age of 93 years. Iris and her husband George, immigrated to Canada from England in 1970 where they lived in Toronto and later Calgary. She will be remembered for her charitable work in both countries. Iris was active in the United Church and as a Rebekka. She was a loving mother who will be deeply missed. Over the last two years she was well taken care of by the wonderful staff of the Beverly Centre. Iris is survived by her son Robin; daughter-in-law Sara; and grandchildren, Matthew and Christopher; as well as her brother Dennis; and sister Angela. A private service will be held at a later date.
