Obituary of Buonasorte – Fioravante

December 10, 1936 – October 20, 2009 It is with great sorrow that we announce that Fioravante Buonasorte passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the age of 72 years. Fioravante was born in Monteforte Irpino Avellino, Italy. In 1963, he took his new wife to Switzerland , following in 1968 the family immigrated to Canada. Fioravante was an accomplished finishing carpenter, work he truly enjoyed, but his greenhouse gave him his greatest pleasures. Fioravante was a devoted husband and father, proud nonno and loyal friend, who will be remembered as a man of few words but of strong actions. Besides his loving wife of forty-six years Elisabetta, Fioravante is survived by his daughter Luisa (Saverio) Petrillo; son Nicola; and granddaughters Josephine and Elizabeth. Fioravante is also survived by two brothers; two sisters; and numerous extended families and long time friends on both sides of the Atlantic. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
