Obituary of STEVENS – Lee Vernon

November 2, 1971– October 8, 2009 Lee Vernon Stevens, was called home by the Lord our Creator on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the age of 37 years. Lee was a good person with a big heart and he always had something to say to make people laugh. He was quiet, supportive, humble, loyal, and he respected his elders and helped them out with sundances or whatever else was needed. Lee loved his traditional cultural ways and participated in Pow-Wow as a grass dancer when he was younger. Lee enjoyed sports, especially hockey, hunting, and rodeo (bull rider). He worked for Bearspaw Holistic Education Program for seven years. Lee is survived by son and daughter, William and Florinda Rabbit; two brothers, Aidon Onespot, Floyd Crawler; adopted father Bud Crawler; aunties and uncles, Violet (Richard Amos, Joe Abraham, Mary Stevens (Russell), Lucy Stevens, Annie (Sam) Ear, Madeline Stevens; cousins, Charlene (Ferlin), Wyatt, Rayline (Ted), Sophia, Joeline (Brian), Melrose (Jordan), Michelle (Floyd), Jenard, Lindsay (Jason), Natisha, Eldrena (Clint), Floyd (Deb), Jolanda (James), Sherman, Vincent (Aggie), Rhonda, Harry (Arliva), Elliotte (Sabrina); the Bearspaw , Abraham, Ears, Stevens, Lefthands, Fox, Baptiste, House, Powderface families; all his numerous nieces and nephews and best friends, Leroy Stevens, Johnny Smalleyes and Clarence Wesley Jr. We apologize if we have missed anyone. Funeral Services will be held at Morley United Church (Morley, AB) on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Bearspaw Cemetery.
