Obituary of LATAM-KITTS – Jayne
March 4, 1956 – October 6, 2009
We lost our mother and best friend, Jayne, on Tuesday, October 6, 2009.
Jayne was born in Bristol, England on March 4, 1956. She immigrated to Canada at a young age and grew up in Vancouver with her sister.
Mother of Matthew, Jordan, Amanda, and Jennifer and also life partner of Richard Lapka, Jayne was the rock in our lives. She was a wise, intelligent and beautiful woman inside and out. She touched many, many lives and had many friends. Jayne had a beautiful smile with a full-hearted laugh that could brighten anyone’s day. Her kids always came first. As long as they were happy, she was too – that’s what made her a great mother. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family. “With love always.”
Jayne moved to Calgary in her twenties and joined the Calgary Herald Advertising Sales team in 1990. Jayne loved her work at the Herald and had many great friends in both colleagues and clients.
Besides her children, Jayne is also survived by her mother Amelia Herring and her sister Sandra and brother-in-law Randy Minton and their children, Sarah and Christina.
