Obituary of DEXTER – Lillian Alice

August 22, 1910 – October 2, 2009 Lillian Dexter of Calgary, passed away on Friday October 2, 2009 at the age of 99 years. Born August 22, 1910 and raised in Weyburn, Saskatchewan , Lillian lived in Calgary since 1953. Lillian is survived by three sons, Dennis of Calgary, George (Oksana) of Vancouver Island, and Gregory of Vancouver; grandchildren Andy (Sarah and baby Jack) of Ottawa and Erin of Vancouver, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, George Ernest Sr. in 2000, her parents Joseph and Deborah Gregory and siblings Deborah (Gosselin), Flo (Rozon), Chrissy (Hubbard), Lawrence, Louise (Stoughton), Marcus, Jean (Buckner), Grace (Allen) and Dennis. Still living independently in her own home on her 99th birthday, a gentle woman she slipped away gently following a stroke. Lillian was an avid reader, a skilled knitter and put her family above all else. Thank you to the staff at the Foothills Hospital for making her final days as comfortable as possible.
