Condolences
In many ways Jim was the spark that allowed me the opportunity to Canada. In 1994 I was working in Houston on a due diligence assignment of Gulf Canada. That is when I met Jim and the efforts he was leading to recover a very substantial refund of overpaid income taxes. I was asked whether I might be interested in a tax role and quickly replied the company would be far better served under Jims leadership than mine. I did join the company in another capacity but part of that decision was influenced by my very high confidence in Jim. He was a man of strong character, which was demonstrated every day, but also one of compassion and humor. My world was made all the better for having met him and having the opportunity to work with him. God Bless you Jim, now and forever.

Dear Annemarie, Chris, Alyssa and Erin,
We are so sorry to hear that you have lost your wonderful husband and Dad! I’m sorry that we can’t attend his celebration of life. I wanted to tell you some of the very special things I remember about Jim:
-his raucous laugh –I loved it!
-he worked so hard to make hockey and lacrosse fun and memorable for all of the boys!
-his great pride in all of his children and all of the stories he would proudly tell about them!
-his winter gloves that made a sharp clapping sound whenever Chris or his team did something well!
-that big gorgeous grin!
-his concern for the folks around him and his willingness to help whenever he could!
-his fabulous organizational abilities and how he made it all look easy!
-his deep love for you, Annemarie and for his children!
I think the world is a sadder place without Jim but all those folks in heaven won’t know what’s hit them!
Please accept our sincere condolences!
