Obituary of Ivor Desmond HAIGH

February 9, 1928 – September 22, 2009 Ivor Haigh of Calgary, passed away on September 22, 2009 at the age of 81 years. Ivor will be missed by his loving family, son and daughter-in-law, John and Carol Haigh, son James Haigh and partner Katt and daughter Amanda, grandchildren Ian, Daniel, Candy and Crystal, four great grandchildren, and very dear friend Lee Masslow. He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Doreen, and daughter Jacqueline Cymbalisty. Dad enjoyed the outdoors having hiked and cycled with the C.B.E.R. He danced with the Banff Trainers Square Dance Club and with friends at 285 Legion. He was very active and adventurous. One of his highlights was a paragliding flight in Golden this summer. He enjoyed travelling and cherished his visits to family in England and Spain. In keeping with Ivor’s wish there will be no funeral but there will be an informal gathering for friends on Tuesday, September 29 at 1 PM at Dreamview Village, 4000 Hawksbrow Point N.W. (clubhouse).
