Obituary of JOHANSEN – Robina

November 18, 1923 – September 2, 2009 Ruby Johansen of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Mayfair Care Centre on September 2, 2009 at the age of 85 years. Ruby was born in Musselburgh, Scotland and was a Wren during WWII. After marrying Karl Johansen from Kenya, she moved to East Africa to raise her children. She was predeceased by her husband Karl in 1992 and is survived by her children; Karl Johansen(Judy), Cynthia Remington, Karen Stirling (Alan) and her grandchildren; Christopher, Michael, Brian (Christy), Kelsi, Scott, Krysta and Bjorn as well as her great grandson Samuel. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews in Scotland and England. Ruby was the last surviving member of a large close-knit family. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
