Even though I have not had contact with George in thirty years, I have many fond memories of growing up with George in Terrenceville, especially the many “pond hockey” games we played together. I have been truly saddened to see how quickly and suddenly George has left us.
I got to know George through my father, Don Kettle. George was a great man – one-of-a-kind with a big heart and a wonderful sense of humour. I had the pleasure of playing golf with him numerous times, most recently in a tournament here in Edmonton about 3 years ago. We had a blast – it was Rod Leroux, Ian Forgues, George and I, and we had so much fun it’s a wonder that we did so well (we actually won the tournament!).
I am unable to make the service, so please accept my family’s heartfelt condolences. I, for one, will miss George alot.

I always enjoyed working with him and he was always available to solve any problems that arose. I last saw George several months ago when we flew from Calgary to Edmonton together.
