Obituary of STIRLING – T.J. Thomas Jared

April 12, 1980 – August 18, 2009 “T.J.” Thomas Jared Stirling, beloved husband and best friend of Barb (nee Robichaud), passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at the age of 29 years. T.J. was born in Calgary and attended St. Francis High School. He joined the military in 1999 and served for eight years, including two tours in Afghanistan. T.J. was a member of the First Battalion of the Royal Canadian Regiment, based in Petewawa, ON. He retired from the military in January 2008 and was the President of the Falcon’s Veterans Motorcycle Club, Calgary chapter. T.J. enjoyed being a dad and took great pleasure in sharing his experiences and values with his children. An avid downhill skier, T.J. enjoyed the mountains, playing poker, dancing, fishing, and his Harley. Besides his loving wife Barb, T.J. is also survived by his son Jared Thomas; daughter Jayda Marie; his parents Keith and Terri of Calgary; brother Laurie; sister Pamela; nephew Dylan; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, August 21, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Family Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
