Obituary of SCHWINGHAMER – Alphonse

July 24, 1912 – August 15, 2009 On August 15th, early in the morning, at the venerable old age of 97 years, our dad passed from this life. He finally found that door he’s been searching for to reunite him with his beloved wife Adele; his son Peter; his three sons-in-law, Ted, Jim and Henry; all of his brothers and sisters and all of mom’s family. We remember them all for their pioneering spirit, their loving dedication to family, their amazing talents in art and music and their incredible humour. It’s the end of an era. Dad, your legacy lives on in those of us left behind, your four daughters, Muriel, Lorna (Adam), Joan, and Mary; your grandchildren and great grandchildren. We celebrate your life. You will be forever gentle on our minds. Our grateful thanks go out to the staff of the Forest Grove Care Centre for the dignity and kindness with which they treated dad during his time there. Dad’s wishes were to be cremated and to have a private family service. He will be buried with our dearest mom at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
