Obituary of SIRIANNI – Elisabetta

April 18, 1917 – August 10, 2009 Our Mamma and Nonna passed away at the Bethany Care Center, surrounded by her family on Monday, August 10, 2009 at the age of 92. She was born in Sambiase Lamezia Terme, Provincia di Catanzaro, Italy on April 18, 1917, where she lived and raised her family until they moved to Fernie, BC in 1966. In 1967 the family moved to Calgary. This is where the family settled and expanded. Elisabetta was soon surrounded by grandchildren whom she helped nurture and love. Elisabetta leaves behind two daughters, Felicia (Salvatore) Raso and Pina (Enrico) Elia; two sons, Bruno (Franca) and Sam (Dora) Sirianni. Also sadly saying goodbye to Nonna are her twelve grandchildren, Peter, Rosa, Tina, Lisa, Antonia, Domenico, Rosa, Franco, Rino, Felicia, Daniela, and Diana. Elisabetta was also blessed with seventeen great grandchildren, who will have her watching over them from Heaven. She was predeceased by her son Francesco; daughter Rosa; and sister Concetta. She is now finally reunited with the love of her life, her husband Domenico Sirianni. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church (1100 Berkshire Boulevard N.W.) on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in St. Joseph’s Section at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
