Obituary of GISHLER – Mary Elizabeth Lucille

June 15, 1984 – August 3, 2009 Mary died, as she had been born 25 years earlier, struggling for her life surrounded by family and caring medical Staff at the Foothills Hospital. Mary was a special gift from God who taught us to laugh, love unconditionally and pray for the healing of others. Mary was a sensitive gifted artist. She enjoyed caring for an autistic child and dog walking. Mary was the only daughter of the Reverend John and Lucille Gishler. She is survived by her loving brother David; step brother Christopher (Ellen); and their children Anna, Thomas, and Liam of Whitehorse; and by the Paulson and Gishler families. Mary, nicknamed ‘Precious’ within the family, will be greatly missed. The Family wishes to thank all those who have been so kind to Mary in her lifetime. A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held at Holy Cross Anglican Church (2828 – 19th Street N.W.) on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Union Cemetery.
