Obituary of BECKER – Garth Paul

April 27, 1944 – August 2, 2009 Garth Becker, beloved husband of Lynn Becker of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the age of 65 years. Garth was born in Swift Current, SK and moved with his family to Calgary when he was 2. Garth’s passion was always photography. He was a corporate photographer with Gulf Canada for twenty-four years after which he opened his own studio. He also worked for Calgary Transit for eight years until his retirement in 2005. Garth also loved camping and travelling and made friends in many places. Besides his loving wife of twenty-nine years, Garth is survived by three daughters, Nanette and Cliff Fillion, Carrie Taylor and Andy Erickson, and Theresa Becker; a son Raymond Becker; eight grandchildren, Braden, Brendan, Briana Fillion; Ashley and Cassidy Taylor; Nash and William Erickson; and Ainsley Becker all of Calgary. He is also survived by his sister Hilda Orchard of Vernon, BC; mother and father-in-law, Liliane and Basil Walton of Belleville, ON; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
