Obituary of BASFORD – Doreen ‘Dorrie’

May 9, 1923 – July 28, 2009 With great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Dorrie Basford on Tuesday, July 28 at the age of 86 years. Dorrie was born in Gosport, Hampshire, England and immigrated to Canada in 1969. The love and passion for her family combined with her wonderful sense of humour allowed Dorrie to be welcomed into all friendships and gatherings. Dorrie is survived by her children George (Sylvia), Margaret (John), Kay, Susan (Gerald), Carol (Brad) and Terry (Maureen), as well as twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Bill. Dorrie will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
