Obituary of Frank L'Amarca

Frank L’Amarca, beloved husband of Louise L’Amarca of Calgary, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the age of 80 years. Frank was born in Marigliano, Naples, Italy on September 3, 1928 and chose Canada as his new home in December 1954. Frank was a valued and dedicated employee of Con-Force Structures for over thirty years and retired in 1994. Frank was a truly gifted gardener and fisherman and also enjoyed bird hunting and watching classic Westerns. A perfect day for Frank would have included spending time with his family, gardening, a great meal with a glass of wine and game of crib or dominoes to finish off the day. As well as Frank’s beloved wife Louise, he leaves to mourn their children, Terry (Donna) L’Amarca, Tony L’Amarca and Maria (Chris) Howe; their grandchildren, Christina L’Amarca-Drabiuk, Joseph, Nicolas and Daniel L’Amarca, and Greg and Brian Howe; and their great grandchildren, Cole and Kadence Drabiuk. Frank is also survived by his siblings, Felicetta Riccio, Rosa Grossi, Maria (Alfredo) DeBlasio, Maddalena Pacchiano, Teresa (Pat) Mautone, Mike (Rosa) L’Amarca, Anna Horvath, and Joe L’Amarca, as well as many nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Antonietta L’Amarca and his grandson Frank L’Amarca. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 10:45 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
