Obituary of Corazon Diolata Garcia

Corazon Garcia of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the age of 78 years. Corazon was born June 28, 1931 in Pili, Camarines Sur, Philippines and came to Calgary in May 1984. She was an active member of the Philippine Canadian Seniors Society of Calgary, and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend. Corazon is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Chris Aquino of California and Elizabeth and Ner Plana of Philippines; sons and daughters-in-law, Norberto Jun and Luz, Ernesto and Editha (Grace), Gilbert and Belinda, Jay, Joey and Veronica Garcia, all of Calgary; seventeen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members in Canada, USA and the Philippines. She was predeceased by her husband Norberto Ramirez Garcia Sr. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive NE) on Friday, July 17,2009 from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. with Prayers and Tributes at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street and Northmount Drive N.W.) on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace.
