Jack Peacock

Obituary of Jack Kierby Peacock

Jack Peacock, beloved husband of Darlene Peacock of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre Palliative Care Unit on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at the age of 84 years. Jack was born in Calgary on August 26, 1924. His World War II service was proudly spent in the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve. Jack was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors, and enjoyed the game of golf in his later years, not starting that sport until the age of seventy. He also enjoyed gardening which was evident by his manicured lawns and thriving flower beds. He and Dar enjoyed life to the fullest, especially holiday times together, whether it was out at their summer home in Kootenay Lake in BC or travelling, with cruising being their favourite way to holiday. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife and best friend of thirty-four years Dar (Darlene); four children, Tom (Debbie), Diane (Ralph) Giordano, John (Lynn), and Robert, all of Calgary; and four grandchildren, Greg, Julie, Brett, and Chris. At Jack’s request there will be no funeral service. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
