Obituary of Ida Pasquini

Ida Pasquini (nee Casalanguida) of Calgary, Alberta passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Wentworth Court at the age of 89 years. Ida was born in Mozzagrogna, Italy on January 20, 1920. She married Nicola Pasquini of Trelgio, Italy, in 1948, and they immigrated to Canada in 1956, settling in London, ON. Nicola passed away in the prime of his life in 1968 and Ida carried on with courage and strength, working to support her family, until she retired at age 65 and moved to Calgary. Ida took great pleasure in the accomplishments of her two children and six grandchildren, as her family and faith were the core of her life. She loved Italian cooking and was the centre of many memorable family gatherings. Ida is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Coleen Pasquini of Niagara Falls, ON; her daughter and son-in-law Mary and Peter McMahon of Calgary; and her grandchildren, Laura, Kathryn, Mark, Paul, Matthew and Caroline.
